Wisdom of the Prophet Book 6

A Sixth Heaping Helping of  Blathered Bonus Babble from the Ether...

1. Man loves to play the heroic part of "saving someone from themselves", it appeals to our human nature to be God. However, we are only pretending to know good from evil and only God is God. Only He has perfect understanding. We just like walking around the house in our Father's shoes, but we can't come close to filling them.

2. With few exceptions, anything or anyone who claims to do more than a handful of things very well, will suck at all of them, especially when trying to do them simultaneously.

3. Prophecy can be fulfilled multiple times in different ways, but always to the same purpose.

4. The golden years of your life are when you stop spending time to make money, and spend money to enjoy time.

5. Even a tornado can be quite beautiful when observed from a safe distance. The key element for the observer is the distance.

6. We all become like the God we worship.

7. All peace comes from Wisdom and all Wisdom comes from God.

8. Communities and individuals struggle the most with the problems they create.

9. Wisdom and knowledge are not interchangeable. Knowledge can surely get you from Point A to Point B, but Wisdom asks the question, "Do you really want to go to Point B"?

10. Lagertha is smoking fucking hot!

11. Our most powerful technology and potent magic are words. Words can inspire and destroy. Words can bless and curse. Words can disseminate ignorance or teach. All Creation was begotten by words.

12. Those who claim any institution is too big to fail never learned or have forgotten the lesson of Rome.

13. Has it not occurred to anyone else how hamstrung our humanity has become by our legalism?

14. Partisanship is the glue which divides us all.

15. Constancy is an underappreciated virtue.

16. Fuck buddy? Nope, my friends are way better.

17. Wisdom is like manure it works best when spread and it stinks if it is never applied.

18. If a woman cannot pick a single color for her hair she is just as likely to be unable to make up her mind about anything else.

19. I write in a hurricane of thoughts and sit at the center of the I.

20. It is never torture to the perpetrators. It is a necessary evil or a therapeutic procedure which the victim is willfully prolonging by their failure to do the perpetrators' will.

21. Invictus! Invictus! Invictus! (Latin: Unconquered! Unconquered! Unconquered!)

22. When I write I don't try to score points. I write goalposts and then fill in the shots.

23. A community can be judged by only one standard, the quality of individuals it produces.

24. I thank God everyday for our imperfections, our failings, and shortcomings for without these we would be completely inhuman.

25. Walk your path or jog if you prefer, and allow others to walk their own path. Take the time to enjoy the scenery but do not be part of the scenery, which is to say, be neither idle nor spectacle.

26. Wherever you find a hierarchical structure with a labyrinth of regulations, codes, and restrictions administered by a group of powerful, monied individuals who are accountable to others than those who live under their authority, that is a Temple system.

27. Time has no burden for the Eternal.

28. Indeed, if we never suffered injury, injustice, or betrayal, how would we ever learn forgive? Without having truly suffered in our lives, how would we ever learn compassion?

29. While the earth is not the center of the solar system and the Milky Way galaxy is not the center of the Universe, we are the focus and purpose for all the above. It is an... (Is your seat belt still fastened?) anthropocentric Universe meeting our every human need from simple matter to awesome wonder.

30. If we do all things in love we cannot commit sin.

31. Generally speaking, the cute one did it.

32. We wrestle with God and we wrestle with each other, and these two struggles are the same.

33. Without Provision, we are and have nothing. Provision is absolutely necessary and all Provision comes from God, even the most negotiable. From the unnecessary and the frivolous to the substance of you, all Provided by the Undivided.

34. Magic wands are perennially in short supply and never perform as expected. So, rather than waiting for someone to reinvent the guy who invented the wheel to roll in some colossal, magical problem panacea from wherever they are manufactured, I'll just go chip away at it with a small idea and a modest amount of action. Just me. Maybe you can come too. Bring a friend.

35. Relationships are how people help other people. Programs are what machines like bureaucracies use to operate. People aren't machines, so why do we keep expecting programs to solve people problems? All we are doing is building more monstrous machines.

36. You see, welfare systems not only benefit the recipient, they help us to avoid that nagging sense, to assuage our guilt, to do something more.

37. The United States Capitol should have been built at the summit of Mt. Hood, surrounded by snipers nests, and machine gun towers so we could be certain that when the legislature enacted a law it was damn well necessary.

38. I will support capital punishment the very day that we produce an infallible jury. The state performs executions in the name of the people of the state, so when we execute an innocent we all become murderers.

39. Much of my life has been spent asking myself very basic questions about the most fundamental elements of life, the Universe, and everything else. I have yet to arrive at one concrete answer, but my questions are improving.

40. Knowledge and wisdom are not interchangeable. Today, we have much knowledge and little wisdom, so we try to substitute knowledge for wisdom with tragic results. Intelligence is the ability to accumulate knowledge quickly. Wisdom is the ability to apply knowledge properly.

41. No, Arthur, I am not impressed that you removed the sword from the stone. I am impressed by the son of a bitch who put it there.

42. If you trust God, then you must trust Him when your trust is not just a useful honey to be poured into the ears of men.

43. To walk with God is to follow in His shadow, but since He casts no shadow we are ever in His Light.

44. Otter pops contain no otter whatsoever.

45. It is said that "beggars can't be choosers" however quite often their choices made them beggars.

46. Hindsight is rarely 20/20. We misdiagnose or completely fail to note our errors and condemn ourselves to repeat the same mistakes with different people at a later date. Remarkably, we are just as bamboozled by the failure of our foolproof plan once again.

47. Elmo is not a monster. He does nothing monsterish like saying,"Briiing!" to telephones or shredding and tossing giant foam letters in the air and eating them. In my best estimation, Elmo is a fraud.

48. “What's His purpose for all of this, this Creation?” Are you Stumped? Okay, I'll give you the answer…

49. Animal crackers are vegetarian.

50. Yup, the cute one did it.
